EXTERIOR PAINTING AND STAINING
Preparation is the most important step towards ensuring a beautiful and long-lasting exterior project. Proper preparation starts with cleaning the surface to be treated to remove loose paint, dirt, mold, and mildew in order to achieve maximum adhesion of any coating material. Next, scraping and sanding of all peeling areas is addressed. All gaps between wood should be sealed with elastomeric sealant.
Homes that need to be painted often have areas that have gone without paint for a long period of time. This frequently necessitates the replacement of rotten wood prior to or during painting preparation. We offer light carpentry services and will gladly replace clapboards and trim that need replacement, at an additional charge if you so choose. Whenever possible and as soon as possible, we try to inform customers of problematic wood areas that would jeopardize your investment and the durability of your project.
While decks are a valuable addition to every home, they do need to be properly maintained on a regular basis in order to withstand New England weather and usage related wear and tear. INTERIOR PAINTING

All areas or objects not to be painted must be covered or relocated. Glossy surfaces should be lightly sanded, separations should be caulked, and wall imperfections should be properly spackled and sanded to a smooth finish.
